General description:
Meatloaf is a North European recipe that first appeared in Pennsylvania served by German-Americans since colonial times. It is nowadays a classic dish. Simple but yet delicious.
– 2 lbs of ground beef
– 2 eggs
– ½ cup bread crumbs
– 1 big onion
– 3 tablespoons ketchup
– 1 tablespoon mustard or dijon
– 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
– Garlic powder
Glaze:
– ½ cup ketchup
– ¼ cup brown sugar
– A teaspoon of mustard
– Chop the onion.
– Beat the eggs.
– In a large bowl, mix all the ingredients: beef, mustard, ketchup, breadcrumbs, eggs, Worchestershire sauce.
– Mix well.
– Pat mixture into a 9×5 loaf pan
– Bake 35 minutes at 350° F.

– Bake 35 minutes at 350° F before adding glaze.
– Prepare glaze by mixing ketchup sugar and 1 teaspoon of mustard
– Remove loaf pan from oven and add glaze
– Bake for other 10 minutes
– Let cool of at least for 5′ before serving.
